Lend a Hand 2025

The Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation is a proud partner with Lend a Hand.

The 2025 LAH Fundraising Campaign has a new format. On October 26, 2024, the field hockey portion of the LAH event was held in conjunction with the Falcon Youth Hockey final session. It was a wonderful event during which Youth Hockey Programs from all over Pennsylvania participated in field hockey games, raffles, (thank you college coaches for donating) and concessions. All proceeds from the day were donated to our 2025 LAH campaign. We send our thanks to the Falcon Youth Hockey directors, Jaime Pollock and Brandy Michaels, for the very successful fundraising day and for inviting LAH to be a part of their program going forward.

At this time, we are reaching out to the community to continue to assist us in our 2025 LAH fundraising. We are collecting donations through the next five months. Your tax-free donations will help us assist our 2025 Lend a Hand recipients. The recipients' stories are shared with you below.

FINANCIAL DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED & ACCEPTED UP to JUNE 6, 2025.

2025 LEND A HAND RECIPIENTS

Talia Keiser: Talia, a Lower Dauphin School graduate, suffered a massive stroke in January 2024. The stroke has impacted her life significantly. She suffers from lingering dizziness, unstable balance, trouble with fine motor skills, and visual disturbances. Daily life tasks are extremely challenging. Talia cannot work, yet she has been denied disability. The generosity of Lend A Hand will assist Talia with current medical bills as well as helping to provide everyday needs for her and her family.

Kelly Harsh Mason and Kora Mason: Kelly, her sister Bri Harsh, and Kelly’s children were in a horrific car accident on Route 283 on January 10, 2025 on their way to the Farm Show. A tanker truck lost control, crossed over the median, and slammed into their car, setting it on fire. Kelly, Bri and a knowledgeable good Samaritan were able to get Kora (age 6) and Kinsley (age 4) out of the car. Bri and Kinsley suffered injuries but have been released from the hospital. Kelly has had 3 surgeries to repair her intestines and fractured arms. Kora sustained serious injuries requiring ICU care. Kora is making progress, but she will spend an indefinite amount of time in the Penn State Rehabilitation Hospital. Bri, as Penn Manor field hockey player, and Kelly, as a PM field hockey player and coach, always supported the LAH events. This year LAH can help the Mason family with their mounting medical costs.

Lynsi Krulock:  Lynsi is a 2008 graduate of Lower Dauphin. Several years ago, she developed Multiple Sclerosis. When she was an LAH recipient in 2018, she and her family were overwhelmed with gratitude. Since that time, Lynsi’s health has deteriorated. She is now a spastic quadriplegic and in a wheelchair. Lend a Hand funds will be utilized to obtain home and car modifications to help Lynsi maneuver at home and in the community. LAH’s financial help will enhance Lynsi’s life and provide a huge lift for Lynsi with her physical and emotional needs.

Maggie Hesser: Maggie is a 7th grader at the Lower Dauphin Middle School. She was the 2024 LDMS field hockey manager. She was recently diagnosed with a tumor on her optic nerve, known as an Optic Nerve Glioma. Doctors are treating it with chemotherapy at the Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. Treatments will be given biweekly for the next one to two years. LAH will help with medical expenses and travel expenses to CHOP for treatments. The support of the community will be an emotional boost to Maggie and her family.

Leland Coy: At the end of October 2024, the Coy family had a devastating house fire. LAH was able give some aid in the fall from our Falcon Youth Hockey event to help Leland and his family while they lived out of a hotel. LAH plans to help Leland’s family more at the end of our campaign in June. Leland is 17 and a student at Lower Dauphin High School. Leland lives with his father Eric and Uncle Duane. The fire took everything; LAH funds will help them as they rebuild their home and replace lost items, while bringing some comfort to them knowing they are being supported by their community.

Stephanie Vencak: Stephanie and her grandson Isiah were in a serious car accident in October of 2024. Isiah, a 10th grader at Lower Dauphin High School, suffered minor injuries and has recovered. Isiah’s guardian, Stephanie was critically injured and hospitalized for two months including treatment of fractures of her sternum, six ribs, leg and both ankles. Stephanie is now home and finally able to participate in physical therapy. Although receiving disability, Stephanie is struggling financially to meet the household bills. Lend a Hand funds will help Stephanie and Isiah pay the water bill and pay for propane to heat their home.

Thank you again for your support of Lend A Hand and local businesses.
