LDFF seeks nominations for outstanding teachers, staff

The Celebrate Excellence Awards honor educators who hold a certified license including teachers, nurses, counselors, specialists and administrators, who exhibit leadership, participate in school and community projects, and foster good citizenship and high academic achievement among students.

In addition, a Celebrate Excellence Award will honor one support staff member, including para-educators, custodians, secretaries and tech support staff, who participate in school and community projects and are dedicated to the success of all students, the district and the community.

To be eligible, the educator and/or support staff member:

  • Must have completed five years of successful service in Lower Dauphin School District schools.
  • Must be working in the current year.
  • Must not have previously won this award.

This year, we will be honoring 10 educators/support staff members, each of whom will receive $200 for their classroom and/or special school project. Our desire is to recognize at least one educator from each school building and at least one support staff member from across the district.

A selection committee will review the applications and the winners will be honored at the Lower Dauphin Falcon Foundation Annual Gala (The Falcon Fling!) on January 27, 2018. Awardees will be invited as guests to this fun night!

Nominators’ names will be known only by the Chair of the Selection Committee.

Nominations are welcome from all Lower Dauphin stakeholders, including students, staff, parents and community members. Two individuals are required to complete a nomination.
